This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provides technical guidance regarding Disaster Recovery (DR) exercises and Business Continuity Processes (BCP).
• Ensures the implementation of system enhancements and/or modifications.
• Develops, enhances, and/or supports technical strategies that facilitate successful audits and scalable implementations of large, intricate mainframe environments.
• Identifies and resolves performance-related issues.
• Facilitates project planning efforts by establishing and adhering to work estimates, target dates, milestones, and schedules.
• Engages in the continuous development and enhancement of installation standards.
• Offers technical training and/or mentorship to team members as required.
• Acts as the primary support for reported issues related to software within the assigned area of responsibility and associated products.
• Processes ServiceNow requests from customers concerning software in the assigned area of responsibility and related products.
• Executes a variety of technical tasks in support of Managed Services clients. These tasks may include, but are not limited to: installing, implementing, maintaining, upgrading, and troubleshooting client infrastructure solutions.
• Plans, develops, installs, configures, maintains, supports, and optimizes client network hardware, software, and communication links.
• Proactively identifies, mitigates, and responds to system performance issues.
• Ensures the integrity and security of enterprise data on host computers, across multiple databases, and during data transfer, in accordance with business requirements and industry best practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Conducts database installations, updates/patches/upgrades, tuning, performance monitoring, replication, backups, security, user management, and resource management.
• Researches and recommends infrastructure products, services, and standards to support procurement and development initiatives.
• Participates in Disaster Recovery exercises and strategic planning.
• Adheres to change control, incident response, and testing protocols.
• Communicates and enforces data storage retention policies through system procedures.
• Monitors, analyzes, and anticipates trends for equipment performance, space allocation, and data growth to propose enhancements.
• Develops scripts to automate routine tasks.
• Addresses and updates customer incident tickets and change orders, providing internal management and customer account managers with status updates.
• Generates required reports in response to business user demands.
• Creates, documents, and maintains policies, procedures, and associated training plans for systems and/or database administration and proper use.
• Develops reusable assets (templates, tools, etc.) for the Managed Services practice.
• Collaborates with account management personnel to participate in conference calls and perform tasks that support client relationships.
• Partners with the Managed Services Continuous Improvement team on pre-sales support activities and the design and scoping of services.
• Provides a technical perspective to ensure accurate estimation of scope, cost, and level of effort for proposal generation.
• Works alongside project managers in the development and execution of project plans and timelines.
• Adheres to all time compliance and time entry protocols.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, along with 5 years of experience installing, maintaining, and supporting mainframe software products for IBM mainframes and performing system management functions (software installations, version upgrades, product maintenance, and configuration management).
• OR 9 years of experience installing, maintaining, and supporting mainframe software products for IBM mainframes and performing system management functions (software installations, version upgrades, product maintenance, and configuration management).
• Proven experience with z/OSMF Configuration Assistant.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to execute tasks related to customers’ disaster recovery plans.
• Proficient in the majority of the following: UNIX Systems Services, z/OS REXX/CLIST, and JCL.
• Demonstrated experience with ISV products including: System Management (tools for monitoring, managing, and optimizing mainframe operations), Security (solutions for enhancing the security of mainframe environments), Data Management (software for efficient data management, storage, and retrieval), Application Development (tools for developing, testing, and deploying mainframe operations), and Performance Optimization (products for enhancing mainframe system performance and efficiency).
• Proven ability to implement and troubleshoot IT Infrastructure systems and configurations in the designated area of expertise.
• Demonstrated capacity for acquiring further technical skills.

• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to investigate problems and apply problem-solving techniques.

• Proven ability to provide guidance and leadership to less experienced technical team members.
• Ability to develop strong customer relationships and trust to secure future business opportunities.
• Demonstrated experience with Software Vendors, such as Broadcom, Compuware, BMC, LRS, and Syncort, is a plus.
• Experience with File Transfer Protocol (FTP) and Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) IP Connectivity is a plus.
• Managed Services experience is a plus.
• Annual bonus target of 10% subject to the terms and conditions of the plan.
