This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Develop and implement security frameworks for Snowflake, encompassing RBAC, network policies, authentication protocols, and dynamic data masking.
• Create architectural strategies for cost optimization in Snowflake, focusing on warehouse sizing, compute virtualization, resource monitoring, query tagging, and planning for reserved capacity.
• Enforce row-level access policies, column-level masking, tagging of PII objects, and audit trails for Access History.
• Integrate Okta with Snowflake using SCIM and manage scalable role hierarchies.
• Construct and uphold Terraform/IaC configurations across various environments.
• Design automated workflows for access requests, approvals, and certifications through CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop governance monitoring pipelines to detect real-time access anomalies and policy breaches.
• Implement SOX controls, create audit-ready access reports, and maintain comprehensive evidence packages.
• Streamline the collection of compliance evidence and ensure continuous validation of compliance.
• Design secure data sharing mechanisms across Snowflake, Iceberg, and AWS services.
• Provide support for data orchestration using Airflow (MWAA), Lambda, and EventBridge, ensuring governance controls are in place.
• Guarantee consistent governance for Iceberg tables within multi-engine data architectures.
• Lay down governance foundations for Snowflake's AI and ML capabilities.
• Promote cost observability through resource monitoring, alerts, and query tagging.
• Uphold platform reliability and facilitate self-service access as the technical governance expert.
• Expertise in Snowflake, including RBAC design, row-level security, dynamic data masking, network/authentication policies, resource monitoring, and Access History.
• Practical experience with Terraform/IaC.
• Familiarity with the AWS cloud platform, including S3 storage integrations, IAM trust policies, and multi-engine data architectures.
• Experience in identity and access management with scalable RBAC hierarchies, federated authentication, and Okta/SCIM integration.
• Background in supporting SOX or SOC 2 compliance programs, along with expertise in audit evidence and control documentation.
• Proficiency in SQL for access auditing and governance reporting.
• Knowledge of Iceberg table formats and schema evolution.
• Experience in Python or a similar scripting language.
• Familiarity with Airflow, Lambda, or EventBridge.
• Exposure to Snowflake AI/ML technologies, including Cortex, Agents, or Snowpark ML.
• Experience with metadata automation tools like Alation or Collibra.
• Proficiency in using GitHub workflows for infrastructure modifications and governance testing.
• Proven ability to cultivate enterprise data governance cultures and manage change at scale.
