Senior Engineer, Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, deploy, monitor, and continually enhance scalable data pipelines and API integrations.

• Utilize generative AI tools in daily engineering tasks to expedite development and enhance quality.

• Convert product and business ideas into incremental, high-quality technical deliverables.

• Engage in hands-on design sessions and conduct thorough code reviews.

• Implement monitoring for data quality to ensure production data is accurate and reliable.

• Evaluate and suggest architectural patterns that are in line with enterprise platforms and best practices.

• Regularly employ generative AI in everyday engineering tasks to speed up development, elevate code quality, troubleshoot complex systems, and architect scalable data solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of practical experience in developing solutions with Microsoft SQL.

• More than 3 years of experience with big data technologies including Databricks, Apache Spark, Python, and Microsoft Azure (ADF, Dataflows, Azure Functions, Service Bus).

• Strong grasp of engineering fundamentals such as automated testing, code reviews, telemetry, iterative delivery, and DevOps practices.

• Familiarity with polyglot storage architectures, including relational, columnar, key-value, and graph systems.

• Practical experience with Delta Lake tables and Parquet data stored in ADLS.

• Background in creating distributed, component-based applications using event-driven patterns.

• Proficient in communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences across global teams.

• Solid foundation in software architecture, design patterns, and engineering best practices.

• Experience with healthcare datasets; knowledge of HL7 or EDI is an added advantage.
