This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Responsible for persuading the organization to adopt proper architecture and best practices.
• Introduce innovative technologies and support application development teams.
• Develop new automated build infrastructure, configuration, and deployment processes.
• Assess the optimal approach for establishing the appropriate architecture and managing software installations, upgrades, and migrations, considering factors such as performance, availability, and security.
• Lead debugging and troubleshooting efforts to assist application development teams.
• Integrate various technologies into the organization, utilizing J2EE application containers.
• Undertake a range of tasks, including application development, technical troubleshooting, and script writing.
• Oversee the progress of complex projects, with or without the aid of an actual Project Manager.
• May provide guidance and direction to junior team members to ensure tasks are completed and the project stays on track to meet deadlines.
• B.S. in Computer Information Systems or Engineering.
• Certification in at least one scripting language and any programming language.
• 4-6 years of relevant programming experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2+ years of experience with AWS cloud and automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or Fabric).
• Strong troubleshooting capabilities.
• Proven interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Proficient in Perl, Java/J2EE, and Unix (Solaris/Linux).
• Shell scripting experience in C (csh), Korn (ksh), and/or Bourne shells (sh).
• Familiarity with various web container/application servers (such as Apache, Tomcat, JBoss, and WebLogic).
• Experience in configuring and optimizing a J2EE application server, preferably WebLogic and JBoss.
• Knowledge of Unix (Solaris/Linux) operating systems, tools, and utilities.
• Experience with Jenkins build tool and Gitlab source code repository.
• Understanding of service and server migration to the cloud and containers.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle internal tools, including Oracle Wallet, Encryption, DataPump, etc.
• Proficient in C/C++, PL/SQL, Groovy/Grails, Oracle Pro*C/Forms, Java, JavaScript, Python, CVS, ANT, FTP, SSH, SSL, and PGP.
• Experience with system automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or Fabric).
• Knowledge of containerization and cloud technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon Web Services (AWS)).
• Familiarity with service registries (Consul, Zookeeper, etc).
