Senior Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Implement and support Disaster Recovery solutions across on-premises data centers and poly-cloud environments.

• Conduct hands-on backup, restoration, replication, and recovery operations.

• Carry out DR drills, failover, and failback activities while validating RTO/RPO objectives.

• Manage and troubleshoot Linux operating systems in disaster recovery and recovery scenarios.

• Work on storage platforms (SAN/NAS/Object) to fulfill replication and recovery requirements.

• Support the network and connectivity dependencies necessary for effective DR execution.

• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to backup jobs, restorations, and replication failures.

• Engage in incident response and major outage recovery activities.

• Maintain DR runbooks, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and operational documentation.

• Collaborate with architecture, cloud, and security teams to ensure readiness for disaster recovery.

• Provide operational insights for improvements and optimizations in disaster recovery.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8–12 years of experience.

• Strong hands-on experience in Disaster Recovery operations.

• Practical experience in poly-cloud environments and on-premises data centers.

• In-depth expertise in backup and recovery technologies as well as replication mechanisms.

• Solid understanding of storage technologies (SAN, NAS, object storage).

• Good working knowledge of Linux OS administration.

• Familiarity with cloud-based DR designs and recovery workflows.

• Ability to operate in a 24×7 support environment and manage high-pressure recovery situations when necessary.

• Experience with DR automation or orchestration tools (preferred).

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS / Azure / OCI (preferred).

• Relevant certifications in cloud, backup, or Linux (preferred, but not mandatory).

• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
