This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Addresses and resolves complex operational issues for clients and users.
• Collaborates with the Enterprise Applications team to establish end-user requirements, functionality specifications, and deliverables.
• Develops new solution strategies and modifies existing ones to meet SLA objectives.
• Maintains all technical deliverables, including design specifications and configuration modifications.
• Conducts application configuration, extension, integration, and performance improvements.
• Manages issues escalated from junior team members, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Assists in the design, planning, and implementation of enhancements to standard operating procedures.
• Designs, implements, and manages monitoring and observability solutions across servers, applications, databases, network devices, and cloud environments.
• Configures and maintains observability platforms for metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and alerts.
• Creates dashboards and reports to enhance visibility into system health, service performance, availability, and operational KPIs.
• Establishes and fine-tunes alerting mechanisms, thresholds, escalation rules, and notification workflows to ensure prompt incident detection and response.
• Monitors infrastructure and application performance to guarantee compliance with SLA, SLO, and availability targets.
• Analyzes logs, alerts, and telemetry data to identify trends, anomalies, and potential service risks.
• Aids in incident management, problem management, and root cause analysis by providing actionable monitoring insights.
• Integrates monitoring tools with IT Service Management (ITSM), event management, automation, and ticketing platforms.
• Reduces alert noise through alert optimization, event correlation, and dependency mapping.
• Supports cloud and platform migrations by ensuring comprehensive observability during transformation efforts.
• Collaborates with DevOps, SRE, and engineering teams to incorporate observability into system architecture and deployment pipelines.
• Conducts capacity planning, utilization analysis, and trend forecasting for infrastructure and application environments.
• Automates monitoring configuration, maintenance, and deployment using scripting or Infrastructure as Code practices.
• Maintains operational documentation, runbooks, dashboard standards, and monitoring governance processes.
• Ensures adherence to logging, monitoring, audit, and operational security requirements.
• Contributes to continuous improvement initiatives, including AIOps, self-healing, automation, and proactive event management.
• BA/BS degree and 4–6 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in supporting and configuring enterprise applications in complex environments.
• Proficiency in observability/monitoring platforms such as Datadog, Dynatrace, New Relic, Splunk, Elastic, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Practical experience with metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and alerting systems.
• Strong scripting and automation skills in Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar languages.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Working knowledge of monitoring and logging services in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience integrating monitoring tools with ITSM and event management platforms.
• Ability to conduct root cause analysis, trend analysis, and capacity planning based on telemetry data.
• Experience in embedding observability into CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
• Skills in designing and optimizing alerting rules, thresholds, and correlation logic.
• Understanding of logging and monitoring compliance, audit, and security requirements.
• Experience with automation, AIOps, and self-healing or event-driven operations.
