This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the primary energy advisor for Environ's most significant and sophisticated clients.
• Serve as the financial planner and risk manager for clients' energy expenditures: create budgets and forecasts, establish risk tolerances, set hedging goals, and monitor positions against market fluctuations.
• Develop and implement tailored procurement strategies across various product structures and contract terms.
• Collaborate with the Market Analytics Team to analyze commodity pricing, forward curves, trends, and market fundamentals.
• Lead strategy presentations and market briefings directly with C-suite executives, finance, and energy management stakeholders.
• Manage competitive solicitations (RFPs) for complex, large-load opportunities; assess supplier proposals, negotiate pricing and contract terms.
• Work closely with Engagement Teams to guarantee precise deliverables, seamless contract execution, and an outstanding client experience.
• Collaborate intimately with the Sales Team throughout the client lifecycle, acting as the strategic and technical lead in intricate pursuits.
• Cultivate durable, trust-based advisory relationships, ensuring clients achieve measurable value, and spearhead renewal strategies.
• Identify client needs beyond procurement and highlight cross-selling opportunities.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in finance, economics, engineering, or another quantitative discipline.
• Over 7 years of experience in energy markets, with substantial expertise in energy procurement, retail energy pricing, energy risk management, or energy market analysis.
• Proven success in advising large, sophisticated energy users — such as multi-site commercial portfolios, industrial and institutional loads, or data centers — on procurement and risk strategy.
• Comprehensive understanding of deregulated electricity and natural gas markets, energy commodity fundamentals, and retail energy product structures, with the ability to align strategy with each client's unique circumstances.
• Strong analytical capabilities, including advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency; comfortable collaborating with quantitative teams and rigorously testing analyses before client presentation.
• Executive presence, with outstanding verbal and written communication skills, capable of distilling complex market dynamics into concise emails, executive summaries, and PowerPoint presentations that prompt timely actions from clients.
• A financial planner's mindset: adept in budgets, risk tolerance, and trade-offs, and able to lead open discussions about uncertainty instead of providing misleading precision.
• A successful relationship builder with a history of client retention and long-standing advisory relationships.
• Experience in mentoring or developing less-experienced team members.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings and industry events.
• Comprehensive health benefits (medical, dental, vision) with an option for dental buy-up.
• 10 company-paid holidays.
• Competitive paid time off policy.
• Paid volunteer time off to contribute to your community.
• 401k (pre-tax and Roth) benefits with company matching.
• Company-sponsored life, AD&D, short-term, and long-term disability insurance.
