This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky, +3 more states.
• The Employee Relations Senior Assistant supports the Employee Relations team by overseeing case intake and assignment, in addition to various administrative and coordination tasks.
• Utilizing independent judgment and established resources, the Senior Assistant aids in the daily operations of the ER team.
• The Senior Assistant handles multiple issues simultaneously, often for competing stakeholders, in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Adhere to established procedures to prioritize, evaluate, and assign cases within the case management system to Employee Relations Business Partners (ERBPs).
• Provide coaching and guidance to employees and managers on the correct interpretation of Employee Relations policies and guidelines.
• Ensure consistent interpretation and application of Employee Relations programs, policies, practices, and guidelines.
• Monitor the status and resolution of inquiries and issues from employees and managers.
• Assist the team with Employee Relations Direct Access matters when necessary.
• Redirect matters to the appropriate internal partners as needed.
• Oversee the intake, evaluation, assignment, documentation, and resolution of issues reported through the Company’s hotline, including creating relevant cases in ServiceNow and transferring case notes and closures as provided by ERBPs.
• Aid in gathering information and documentation for legal complaints, charges, and other matters as required.
• Manage Tier 1 employee relations issues pertaining to policy interpretation and other low-complexity matters.
• Create and maintain cases in the ER case management system for designated issues.
• Use Workday, ServiceNow, and other tools to research case participants and accurately document necessary information.
• Manage the Workday ER Self-Service inbox and create and assign corresponding ServiceNow cases.
• Oversee ER team mailboxes and respond to inquiries as needed.
• Maintain the ER team absence calendar.
• Update content and materials within the ER team’s MS Teams channels.
• Develop and maintain documentation and process guides related to ERSP responsibilities.
• Act as the initial point of contact for employees on various employee relations matters as necessary.
• Prepare data-related reports for management, highlighting trends, inconsistencies, and areas for consideration.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• High school diploma along with 5 years of experience in Human Resources, Employee Relations, or a related field.
• Any level of degree or certification beyond a high school diploma/GED combined with 3 years of experience; or 7 years of experience in a related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Strong time management, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
• Basic understanding of state and federal employment laws and principles for union avoidance.
• Effective communication skills across all employee levels (exempt, non-exempt, corporate, and field).
• Capability to work independently with a sense of urgency and effective prioritization.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information.
• Ability to collect, comprehend, interpret, and accurately share data.
• Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to successfully work 100% remotely in a quiet, private workspace, with occasional travel.
