This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Operate within our professional services division.
• Act as an embedded Linux authority (kernel, CPU architecture, security, general device drivers, and performance enhancement) within the customer engineering team, assisting clients in their embedded software development.
• Design, create, and refine real-time software architectures and modular software components.
• Reproduce, isolate, and troubleshoot intricate low-level issues that may involve interactions between hardware and software.
• Collaborate with both customers and internal teams to consistently improve the overall project experience.
• Contribute to the comprehensive product design to support customers throughout various stages of their product lifecycle.
• Work closely with the team to ensure project timelines are adhered to, and risks or issues are proactively identified and communicated to clients.
• Maintain a high standard of quality in our deliverables.
• Develop technical proposals to assist customers in making informed technical choices.
• Carry out additional job responsibilities as assigned.
• 3-5+ years of experience in developing and delivering embedded systems utilizing Linux.
• Expertise in Linux kernel customization, device driver design and development, and familiarity with one or more build environments such as Yocto, Buildroot, or Open Embedded.
• Experience in performance optimization and advanced troubleshooting at the kernel level.
• Experience with memory-managed high-performance ARM Cortex-A or X86 architectures and SoCs (NXP, Freescale, Intel, AMD, Xilinx, Altera, etc.).
• Familiarity with the Linux kernel or kernels of other operating systems with strictly isolated kernel and user spaces.
• Proven track record in root-cause analysis of bugs associated with operating systems, hypervisors, or hardware-level drivers.
• Proficient in the C programming language.
• Proficient with Git at the command line level.
• Capable of managing and working on multiple projects concurrently while adhering to schedules.
• Demonstrated experience leading software projects while providing technical guidance to unblock supporting teams.
• Strong sense of urgency and a drive for results.
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
