Senior Elixir Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services utilizing Elixir and Phoenix.

• Create highly available APIs and distributed systems that support essential platform functionality.

• Construct and enhance data pipelines, workflows, and background job processing systems.

• Collaborate with teams in AI, Data Science, and Product to implement intelligent automation capabilities in production.

• Enhance system observability, monitoring, reliability, and operational excellence.

• Engage in architectural discussions and impact the technical direction of the platform.

• Assist in establishing engineering best practices related to testing, deployment, performance, and maintainability.

• Mentor fellow engineers and foster a collaborative, high-performing engineering culture.

• Utilize AI-assisted development tools to boost productivity, quality, and delivery speed.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering.

• Robust production experience with Elixir and the Phoenix framework.

• Proven experience in building and managing scalable backend services and APIs.

• Deep understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, and asynchronous processing.

• Experience with PostgreSQL and relational database design principles.

• Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining automated testing strategies.

• Familiarity with Linux environments, cloud infrastructure, and containerized deployments.

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and contemporary software delivery practices.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams.

• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
