Senior Electrical Estimator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Evaluate the tasks to be completed by reviewing tender documents, specifications, and drawings.

• Conduct quantity and material takeoffs based on the provided drawings.

• Assess both direct and indirect project costs.

• Solicit price quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.

• Suggest alternatives to the specifications in the drawings when necessary.

• Assist in the preparation of the official bid.

• Perform other job-related tasks as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Vocational diploma (DEP) in Electricity or substantial relevant experience.

• At least five years of experience in electrical estimating (both commercial and industrial).

• Experience on construction sites is an asset.

• Strong knowledge of construction and industrial electrical systems, instrumentation, and control is a plus.

• In-depth understanding of the Canadian Electrical Code.

• Exceptional ability to read, analyze, and interpret plans and drawings.

• Capability to prioritize effectively in a multi-project environment.

• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and well-organized.

• Fluent in French; functional proficiency in English.
