This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Manage workloads and team dynamics, including quality assurance/quality control, fee proposals, and task oversight.
• Reconcile invoices and change orders with general contractors, subcontractors, and other third parties.
• Conduct value analysis.
• Build and maintain client relationships to ensure their satisfaction.
• Assist senior management by generating reports and addressing information requests.
• Provide mentorship to estimating technicians and estimators, training them in construction divisions and technology.
• Create project plans.
• Deliver bid analysis and support post-contract activities.
• Engage in peer review processes.
• Conduct evaluations of risk and value management.
• Comprehend project controls and stakeholder expectations.
• Participate in industry events and display understanding of the local market.
• Assist with conceptual estimating, budget creation, cost planning, feasibility assessments, value management, economic forecasting, milestone reporting, audits, change-order reviews, BIM 5D cost modeling, LEED cost analysis, and life-cycle costing.
• Over 5 years of experience in Electrical Cost & Commercial Management or Quantity Surveying with professional accreditation.
• Expertise in construction cost estimating and pricing across different phases of construction.
• Strong research capabilities and the ability to allocate pertinent data.
• Technical knowledge of the construction sector and cost-estimating methodologies.
• Skilled in measurement with an understanding of trades, procurement strategies, and delivery methods.
• Competence in reading and interpreting architectural, civil, structural, MEP, geotechnical, site logistics, and scheduling documents.
• Ability to comprehend contracts, specifications, and construction timelines.
• Knowledge of current technologies and software.
• Proficient in Excel.
• Flexibility to adapt to varied hours, including potential weekends or evenings.
• Capability to analyze, compare, and interpret detailed or vaguely defined information.
• Proficiency in multitasking, prioritizing, and working efficiently in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to read electrical drawings.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Construction, Cost & Commercial Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
• Preferred certification: Professional accreditation such as MRICS, AssocRICS, CCP, CEP, CPE, or an equivalent qualification.
