This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.
• Serve as the onsite Responsible Engineering Authority (REA) at the supplier: facilitate daily operations and resolve issues (particularly related to factory testing), supervise production health, and guarantee timely deliveries.
• Engage in hands-on troubleshooting of RF and mixed-signal Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs) utilizing bench equipment such as VNA, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, oscilloscope, power meter, and phase noise analyzer.
• Investigate testing failures: analyze test data, identify root causes, implement containment strategies, and drive Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA) in collaboration with supplier teams.
• Verify and enhance testing methodologies: evaluate setups, procedures, calibration/fixtures, repeatability/accuracy, and promote design-for-test improvements.
• Ensure stringent configuration control: verify build standards, Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), and ensure the documentation flow between Raytheon and the supplier is both consistent and up-to-date.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and design engineering to swiftly address production, testing, and integration challenges.
• Report on status and risks: deliver clear, data-driven updates regarding yield, defects, cycle time, and recovery actions; escalate issues promptly.
• Represent Raytheon engineering: ensure supplier performance aligns with program cost, schedule, and technical obligations throughout the product lifecycle.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM discipline, along with over 5 years of pertinent experience.
• Practical experience in electronics troubleshooting and/or failure investigation (component-level preferred).
• Proficiency in RF and/or mixed-signal circuit design, analysis, production support, or testing.
• Experience in managing and driving execution at suppliers or sub-tier suppliers.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Interim Secret clearance before starting and a Secret clearance thereafter; U.S. citizenship is required.
