
Senior Electrical Engineer β Federal Experience

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
β’ Lead or support the electrical design of power distribution systems, including medium- and low-voltage power, lightning protection, and grounding solutions for DoD and mission-critical facility projects.
β’ Create integrated control sequences and schematics for power distribution equipment.
β’ Develop and refine product specifications for electrical components and power distribution equipment.
β’ Directly collaborate with client subject matter experts to align on power systems components, controls, and integration.
β’ Generate designs based on site assessments and conceptual designs through to final design.
β’ Translate and apply client requirements into code-compliant designs.
β’ Produce and oversee electrical plans and details utilizing Revit or AutoCAD.
β’ Conduct power systems studies using electrical models in SKM or equivalent software.
β’ Perform electrical surveys and site visits during construction.
β’ Carry out quality-control reviews of electrical engineering designs.
β’ Mentor entry-level engineers.
β’ Prepare and evaluate design and construction cost estimates for electrical scopes of work.
β’ Execute construction administration duties, including reviews of shop drawings and RFIs.
β’ Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related discipline, with 8 years of relevant experience in electrical power system design, or a proven equivalency of experience and/or education.
β’ US Citizenship is mandatory.
β’ Possession of a valid US Driver's License.
β’ Must successfully pass AECOM's motor vehicle records review as a condition of employment.
β’ Professional Engineer's license is preferred.
β’ Over 15 years of experience is preferred.
β’ Familiarity with spot networks, micro-grid systems, lighting design, and electrical commissioning is preferred.
β’ Experience in developing A/E services proposals is preferred.
β’ Background in time-sensitive environments with direct client engagement and a high level of accountability is preferred.
β’ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
β’ Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
β’ Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, plan, adapt, and self-initiate activities in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
β’ Experience in telecommunications design, including networks, A/V, and electronic security for DoD and mission-critical projects is preferred.
β’ Knowledge of and experience with Department of Defense requirements, such as Unified Facilities Criteria and the National Electric Code, is preferred.
