This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Implement the global and cluster SHE strategy, policies, and standards across all locations.
• Oversee SHE teams to achieve results in occupational health, safety, and environmental performance.
• Conduct SHE risk assessments and create as well as execute suitable control measures.
• Spearhead the deployment of the UMS Safety & Environmental Pillar in collaboration with the Manufacturing Excellence team.
• Aid in the rollout of Unilever’s behavioral safety program at various sites.
• Support the application of Management of Change guidelines and processes.
• Ensure adherence to legal and Unilever standards and confirm that regulatory obligations are fulfilled.
• Lead and implement internal SHE auditing and inspection systems.
• Identify and address occupational health risks effectively.
• Assist the North America SHE Director and Supply Chain leadership with incident management teams and SHE committees.
• Support the investigation and analysis of serious and potentially high-risk incidents.
• Lead the North America Safe Travel Committee.
• Provide guidance to line management on accident and incident investigations.
• Perform trend analysis on incidents, near misses, and safe behavior observations.
• Supervise professional SSHE skills, training requirements, training initiatives, and capability enhancement plans.
• Lead the SHE professional community of practice and promote the sharing of best practices.
• Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of OS/EPR/SHE PAR/SHENet reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related STEM field.
• At least 6+ years of experience in SHE leadership roles within manufacturing, preferably across multiple sites.
• Demonstrated analytical thinking, project management, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proven track record in monitoring and driving improvements for TRFR, TRIR, DART, and LTIR KPIs.
• Willingness to travel 25%-50%, averaging one to two weeks per month.
