This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Act as Ratehub's leading expert in mortgages and real estate, representing the brand in various media opportunities and assisting the Communications team with expert commentary, relevant data, and timely insights for media pitches and press engagements.

• Bring a confident on-camera and on-mic presence to video content and media interviews; being comfortable in front of a camera is a significant advantage.

• Enhance Ratehub's credibility in the mortgage sector by creating and writing high-quality, accurate, and timely original content across various formats, including media contributions, landing pages, blog posts, newsletters, videos, and social media platforms.

• Generate content that offers unique analysis and insights reflecting current market conditions, rate fluctuations, and consumer needs, rather than just providing evergreen educational material.

• Regularly communicate with Ratehub's mortgage brokerage team to stay informed about rate trends, lender strategies, and market changes, translating these insights into timely content updates.

• Continuously maintain and refresh existing content, including blogs, FAQs, and landing pages, utilizing internal resources and freelancers when necessary.

• Integrate SEO and GEO best practices into all content, with particular emphasis on landing pages and high-traffic pages.

• Define, document, and uphold Ratehub's editorial voice and style standards across all formats, channels, and contributors.

• Establish and sustain editorial policies, workflows, and governance frameworks that scale effectively across staff writers, freelancers, and cross-functional contributors.

• Manage the editorial and social media calendar, balancing timely rate and market coverage with long-term content strategy, ensuring all published content adheres to accuracy, compliance, and regulatory standards pertinent to Canadian financial products.

• Review, edit, and approve submissions from writers, freelancers, and subject matter experts to maintain a consistently high editorial standard.

• Develop and maintain extensive expertise in Canadian personal finance—including mortgage rates, insurance, credit cards, banking, and investing—to provide credible editorial oversight.

• Oversee content quality assurance processes, which include fact-checking, link auditing, structural reviews, and scheduled content refreshes.

• Utilize performance data, such as organic traffic, keyword rankings, GEO metrics, engagement, and conversion signals, to guide editorial priorities and identify content gaps.

• Brief, onboard, and supervise freelance contributors, including defining the scope of work, ensuring quality oversight, and providing feedback.

• Collaborate across functions with product, design, marketing, and data teams to ensure content accurately reflects live product and rate information.

• Lead sponsored content production as the primary liaison between the external partnership team and the content team.
