This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Take ownership of email conceptualization, having the final say on subject lines, preview text, headers, body content, and CTAs for all major marketing initiatives at Fresh Prints.
• Collaborate with our brand and creative teams to develop both design and copy.
• Create a campaign email content calendar that aligns with the overarching marketing calendar, ensuring emails deliver the right message at the right time.
• Lead A/B testing for subject lines, content strategies, and CTAs, demonstrating the ability to learn from outcomes and implement improvements.
• Craft emails that appeal specifically to a college-age audience, focusing on personalized content rather than generic marketing messages.
• Manage the strategy and content for Fresh Prints' lifecycle email flows, including welcome series for new subscribers, post-purchase nurturing, cart and browse abandonment, re-engagement, and win-back campaigns.
• Review the current lifecycle program to identify gaps, underperforming flows, and opportunities in the customer journey that may enhance engagement.
• Write and test enhanced lifecycle email content.
• Design flows that facilitate a conversational tone with customers instead of a monotonous drip sequence.
• Track deliverability metrics such as open rates, click-through rates, unsubscribe rates, spam complaints, and bounce rates to maintain a positive sender reputation.
• Adhere to email deliverability best practices, including list hygiene, warm-up protocols, audience segmentation for engaged versus unengaged users, and suppression management.
• Regularly report on email performance, assessing what is effective, what is not, and what adjustments are being made based on data.
• Offer insights on performance metrics, going beyond simple statistics to analyze what they indicate about subject line strategies and future testing plans.
• 2-4 years of experience in email marketing, lifecycle marketing, or a similar role where writing was a key responsibility.
• Practical experience with an ESP or marketing automation platform such as Iterable, Klaviyo, HubSpot, Braze, or similar.
• Proven understanding of lifecycle email programs, including welcome series, post-purchase flows, re-engagement, and cart abandonment.
• Familiarity with email performance metrics such as open rates, CTR, unsubscribe rates, and deliverability indicators, along with the ability to extract insights from these metrics.
• Exceptional written communication skills—able to express ideas clearly and engagingly, avoiding typical marketing jargon.
• Experience writing for a consumer audience is highly advantageous; a B2C or DTC background is preferred over B2B or enterprise experience.
