This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.
• Operate, maintain, and enhance a large-scale enterprise web platform that supports over 400 Drupal sites.
• Utilize modern automation tools such as GitHub Actions, Pantheon Terminus, and Quicksilver.
• Ensure dependable and scalable deployments within a multi-site architecture.
• Oversee and enhance CI/CD pipelines based on GitHub Actions.
• Manage automated workflows for creating MultiDev environments (Pantheon), implementing Canary deployments, executing phased releases, and conducting fleet-wide upstream deployments.
• Diagnose pipeline failures and enhance resiliency and observability.
• Collaborate with Pantheon platform tools, including Terminus CLI, MultiDev environments, upstream management, and site orchestration.
• Assist in maintaining platform stability, deployment workflows, and environment lifecycle management.
• Contribute to and uphold a Drupal 10-based multi-tenant platform.
• Create and support custom modules, integrations, and backend logic.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues within a shared codebase that affects multiple sites.
• Expand automation capabilities using Quicksilver (event-driven workflows) and messaging integrations (e.g., Google Chat notifications).
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, at a minimum of C1 level (90%+).
• 3–6+ years of experience with Drupal (versions 8/9/10) and PHP.
• Familiarity with the Pantheon hosting platform.
• Practical experience with Terminus CLI, MultiDev workflows, and upstream-based Drupal architectures.
• Solid experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar tools).
• Comfortable with debugging across application code, deployment pipelines, and hosting/platform environments.
• Experience in multi-site or multi-tenant architectures.
• Strong knowledge of version control (Git), deployment strategies (canary, phased rollouts), and environment management (dev/test/prod isolation).
• Ability to work across both application code and infrastructure workflows.
• Nice-to-Have (Bonus Skills): Frontend experience with Vue.js and TypeScript, scripting or backend experience with Node.js or Python, knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG, VPAT), familiarity with search platforms (MongoDB Atlas Search, vector search, RAG systems), and understanding of release automation patterns (auto-generated changelogs, commit parsing, etc.).
