Senior Documentation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to effectively communicate ClickHouse’s features in a manner that is clear, concise, and comprehensive, tailored to developers with varying levels of experience in ClickHouse and other database systems.

• Develop documentation and guides for newly launched features by the engineering and product teams.

• Actively engage with the GitHub community to resolve issues related to documentation. This includes responding attentively to enhancement requests, improving clarity, correcting errors, and implementing necessary updates.

• Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement within the team by consistently refining and optimizing processes and style guides. Additionally, work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.

• Design scripts and automation tools to ensure documentation remains current.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in creating published technical content, documentation, or blog posts for infrastructure or developer tools products.

• Extensive background in working with databases, data warehouses, and SQL.

• A strong enthusiasm for delivering exceptional developer experiences and products.

• Excellent writing skills in the English language.

• Capacity to collaborate effectively with engineering and product teams, as well as other technical writers or contractors.

• Basic scripting proficiency in languages such as JavaScript and Python.

• Fundamental understanding of modern full-stack web development technologies including React, Node.js, and CSS.

• A degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
