This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead Safety and Risk Management services, focusing on risk management and REMS Consulting.
• Provide guidance and supervision to relevant personnel while acting as the primary consultant for clients, partners, or subcontractor relationships related to risk management and REMS Consulting.
• Serve as a principal contact for clients and internal personnel regarding risk management and REMS Consulting operations.
• Manage the daily operational and financial tasks associated with risk management and REMS Consulting.
• Collaborate with Business Development leadership to facilitate the expansion of the Safety and Risk Management sector.
• Assess client proposals and assist in the preparation of proposals for Safety and Risk Management.
• Prepare designated Safety and Risk Management and other cross-functional team members for client bid presentations.
• Support the sales process by maintaining client relationships and ensuring that proposal content aligns with client needs and UBC capabilities.
• Act as a leader in client-facing activities, identifying and participating in conferences and public presentations to showcase UBC capabilities.
• Encourage the cross-selling of a wide range of UBC products and services.
• Ensure project teams create project plans that meet contracted services and deadlines.
• Oversee and ensure the quality and timeliness of deliverables related to risk management and REMS Consulting.
• Attend and lead client discussions as needed.
• Assist in program delivery by engaging in billable work when suitable.
• Contribute to the development of innovative solutions that address client requirements.
• Monitor contracts, financial activities, and resource utilization to optimize project profitability.
• Conduct regular one-on-one and team meetings, as well as annual employee performance evaluations.
• Professional, organized, detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy, self-driven, and quality-focused.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to foster effective teamwork and motivate staff.
• Exceptional oral and written communication and presentation abilities.
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences or a comparable field.
• An advanced degree in a health-related discipline is preferred.
• Familiarity with FDA-mandated programs.
• Relevant scientific and/or epidemiological experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or clinical research setting.
• Experience in protocol writing, study design, and operations is advantageous, along with knowledge of medical and scientific terminology.
• Management experience with multiple Project Manager-level staff.
