Senior Director, Product Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the product engineering strategy and operational framework, converting business and product strategies into a scalable, high-performance engineering organization.

• Lead and develop the structure, culture, and leadership capabilities of the engineering organization to ensure excellence, accountability, and growth.

• Facilitate predictable, high-quality software delivery at scale through clear ownership, execution diligence, and disciplined delivery practices.

• Enhance engineering efficiency and organizational leverage so that impact accelerates faster than costs or complexities.

• Boost developer productivity and effectiveness via modern tools, automation, and the thoughtful integration of AI throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

• Establish and take responsibility for engineering metrics and KPIs, utilizing data to drive decisions and continuously enhance outcomes.

• Offer senior-level technical and architectural guidance to guarantee systems are scalable, resilient, and aligned with long-term strategies.

• Define and uphold quality, reliability, and performance standards throughout the engineering lifecycle.

• Act as a highly trusted cross-functional collaborator with Product, Design, Data, Platform, Security, and executive leadership.

• Convert technical strategies and trade-offs into clear business insights that guide prioritization and investment choices.

• Over 12 years of engineering experience.

• Established leadership experience at scale.

• Proven track record in enhancing engineering efficiency.

• Familiarity with modern tools and AI-driven development workflows.

• Strong expertise in architecture and systems design.

• Experience in defining and utilizing engineering metrics.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and executive presence.
