Senior Director, Light-Track Delivery – AI Automation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more locations.

📋 Description

• Lead a team focused on developing rapid-turn AI solutions across Parexel, including RPA automations, AI agents, assistants, and various small-scale automation projects, while balancing direct delivery with citizen-developer enablement.

• Manage a range of small to medium-sized AI and automation initiatives through the enterprise intake process, ensuring visibility on scope, status, value delivered, and capacity availability.

• Oversee the team responsible for creating AI agents and assistants on platforms such as Copilot Studio and Parexel AI Assistant (PAIA), crafting reusable patterns and templates to expedite development.

• Direct the RPA team in delivering process automations using UiPath and related platforms, managing the entire intake-to-delivery cycle and maintaining the current RPA portfolio.

• Establish and uphold governance practices that facilitate quick delivery while preventing sprawl, including triage, platform-fit decisions, quality standards, and reuse documentation.

• Enable and mentor business super-users who develop their own agents and assistants, identifying high-value patterns for productization.

• Act as the senior point of contact for light-track delivery across all Parexel functions, fostering trusted relationships with business unit leaders and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

• Lead a diverse team across various geographies, including engineers, citizen-developer enablement specialists, and operations leads, nurturing talent in both professional engineering and citizen-developer enablement tracks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.

• Over 12 years of experience in technology delivery, engineering management, or automation leadership.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in leading multidisciplinary teams.

• Direct experience in managing RPA or process automation programs at an enterprise level.

• Familiarity with citizen-developer enablement and the operational realities of assisting non-engineer builders.

• Strong insight into when to build versus defer, and how to select the appropriate platforms for specific challenges.
