This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• The Senior Director of Lease Administration oversees the management of Lease Administration resources, which includes direct report HR functions, as well as client implementations and vendor relationships.
• Responsible for centralizing, establishing, and producing schedules, reports, and communication plans, along with managing the process flow for their designated Lease Administration team.
• Lead and develop large teams of 10 or more individuals.
• Accountable for workforce planning, succession planning, retention strategies, and performance management frameworks.
• Review and validate team allocations to ensure alignment with the contractual scope of work and client expectations.
• Ensure quality control within the database to identify any errors or inconsistencies.
• Capable of creating, editing, and generating reports in various Lease Administration databases.
• Mentor and train Lease Analysts on essential lease administration responsibilities.
• Supervise the lease abstraction, translation, and quality control processes for assigned accounts.
• Guarantee timely and accurate abstraction or input of all rental obligations and significant lease information.
• Conduct regular meetings and reviews with clients to provide portfolio updates, key metrics, and performance reports.
• Handle client escalations and ensure prompt resolution of any issues.
• A Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, real estate, or a related field is preferred.
• Candidates should possess a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the commercial real estate lease administration sector and/or in accounting and property management, having worked in either the Landlord or Tenant sector.
• At least 7 years of experience in people management or leadership is required.
• Intermediate to expert proficiency with various commercial real estate database applications such as CoStar, Yardi, Apex, ProLease, Virtual Lease, or other portfolio management systems.
• Proven expertise in managing multi-line global accounts with over 1,000 leases and a global account management structure.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote, etc.) is necessary.
• A comprehensive understanding of FASB/IFRS accounting rules and general accounting principles is preferred.
• Must demonstrate the ability to work independently, ideally in a remote setting, and have strong time management skills.
