This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Supervising the accuracy and efficiency of the global payroll process.
• Overseeing the bi-weekly payroll processing for both exempt and non-exempt employees across multi-state and international settings.
• Managing global payroll service providers and effectively communicating changes for international staff.
• Collaborating with HR to facilitate the onboarding of new hires and the separation process in a timely and compliant manner.
• Ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local legal and tax regulations.
• Maintaining a customer-oriented approach towards the company’s employees regarding their compensation and payroll processes.
• Assisting in the preparation of payroll and associated journal entries in collaboration with the accounting team.
• Reconciling payroll account balances as part of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
• Analyzing payroll and related costs to identify trends for accurate financial reporting.
• Developing strategies for the continuous enhancement of payroll operations.
• Keeping up to date with laws governing wage reporting, taxation, and other payroll-related regulations.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Management.
• Minimum of 12-15 years of multi-state and international payroll experience within a global, multi-national organization.
• Extensive knowledge of international payroll and compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated experience as a Senior Manager or in another managerial role, with a track record of building high-performing teams.
• Strong grasp of human resources, corporate finance, and performance metrics.
• Exceptional organizational and leadership abilities.
• Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Practical experience with payroll and timekeeping systems.
• Certified Payroll Professional (CCP) is preferred.
