This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead and expand a comprehensive Financial Operations organization that encompasses Source-to-Pay, Global Payroll, Equity Administration, and Sales Commissions.
• Drive strategic sourcing, vendor management, and procurement governance across major spending categories, taking full ownership of the P2P technology landscape.
• Ensure accurate and compliant global payroll operations across all jurisdictions, closely collaborating with Human Resources, Treasury, and Accounting.
• Manage all aspects of equity plan administration and regulatory compliance, acting as the company's internal expert.
• Oversee the design, calculation, and administration of sales incentive compensation in collaboration with Sales Operations.
• Act as a key financial operations partner to executive leadership, supporting SEC disclosures, board reporting, and financial strategy across all functional areas.
• Maintain a robust SOX control environment and serve as the primary audit liaison for Financial Operations processes.
• Advocate for AI-driven automation and process transformation while cultivating high-performing teams and fostering partnerships across Finance, Legal, People, IT, and Sales.
• Promote, exemplify, and integrate Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we expand globally and into new offices.
• Hire, mentor, and lead an inclusive, engaged, and high-performing team.
• 12+ years of experience in financial operations, with significant expertise in Source to Pay and/or Compensation Operations.
• Proven experience leading multi-functional teams across diverse operational functions.
• Experience working in a SOX-compliant public company environment, including the design and maintenance of controls and acting as a liaison to both internal and external auditors.
• Experience managing enterprise-level systems related to S2P and/or Compensation Operations (e.g., Coupa, SAP, Workday, ADP, Schwab/Computershare, CaptivateIQ, or Xactly).
• A history of driving large-scale process transformation (people, processes, and systems) that yields measurable business results.
• Familiarity with AI and automation tools used in financial operations for applications such as anomaly detection, commission validation, or employee self-service.
• Strong executive presence and the ability to influence VP- and C-level stakeholders on complex financial and compensation issues.
