Senior Director, Data Governance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Define and implement the company's strategy for governing, managing, and ensuring data trustworthiness across all business units and regions.

• Develop and execute a comprehensive global data governance strategy, including the operating model, policies, standards, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

• Establish enterprise-level practices for data management, data modeling, and master data management.

• Initiate and manage a data certification program that outlines the criteria for trustworthy data.

• Drive the change management process related to governance, encompassing communication, training, role definitions, and tracking of adoption.

• Collaborate with business and technology leaders to integrate governance into everyday operations.

• Proactively identify governance, data quality, and compliance risks, and work towards their resolution.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent field of study, or relevant practical experience.

• Extensive experience in leading large-scale data governance initiatives.

• Strong technical expertise in data governance, with hands-on or closely related experience in data modeling, data management, master data management (MDM), data certification, and data compliance.

• Proven track record of establishing and managing data governance, stewardship, and compliance programs that achieve measurable results.

• Demonstrated ability in change management, successfully influencing senior stakeholders and driving sustainable behavioral and operational changes within complex organizations.
