Senior Director, Clinical Quality

📋 Description

• Oversee Omada’s Clinical Quality department, focusing on program quality, accreditation, safety, health equity, and clinical quality analytics.

• Take ownership of the operational efficiency of Omada’s clinical quality framework and the quality performance of essential programs, including program-level outcomes.

• Establish and guide the near-term strategy for program quality, Clinical Quality & Outcomes Committee (CQOC) priorities, accreditation readiness, quality analytics, and AI bias monitoring.

• Convert strategic and emerging priorities into well-defined quality systems, ownership frameworks, monitoring standards, and improvement strategies.

• Act as the senior leader responsible for the integrity and performance of Omada’s clinical program model across various products and care experiences.

• Ensure programs maintain clinical coherence, are evidence-based, measurable, aligned with client and member expectations, and demonstrate continuous improvement.

• Develop a sustainable quality infrastructure that extends beyond governance committees and retrospective reviews, supporting a growing range of clinical products and care experiences.

• Collaborate closely with leaders in Care Delivery, Product, Engineering, Commercial, Compliance, Legal/Regulatory, Data Analytics, and Applied AI to address cross-functional challenges and enhance Omada’s clinical quality operating system.

• Contribute to the development of the clinical quality elements of Omada’s co-intelligence engine, incorporating the data foundation and knowledge layers necessary to gain insights into member trajectories, readiness for behavior change, treatment adherence, biomarker trends, and indicators of underperformance.

• Progressively enhance quality capabilities, including predictive risk identification, smarter intervention personalization, more precise experimentation, and expedited scaling of effective solutions.

• Manage clinical quality governance for AI-enabled products, workflows, and decision-support tools, ensuring monitoring for quality, bias, safety, transparency, and performance.

• Directly mentor future program-level clinical owners and subject matter experts (SMEs) across cardiometabolic programs, including obesity, weight management, GLP-1, diabetes, hypertension, and cholesterol initiatives.

• Advocate for Omada’s clinical quality strategy and standards with external partners, including clients, employer and health plan alliances, accrediting organizations, and other strategic stakeholders, while fostering market credibility, supporting commercial discussions, and translating clinical rigor into external trust and growth opportunities.


⛳️ Requirements

• MD or DO with an active clinical license.

• Over 10 years of relevant experience aligned with Senior Director-level responsibilities and expectations.

• Extensive experience in clinical quality, quality improvement, and program design within healthcare delivery, virtual care, or digital health settings.

• Strong capability to assess and enhance care models, member clinical services, provider and care team quality, clinical content, and safety implications.

• Prior experience managing clinical quality, accreditations, and data analytics functions.

• Proven success in developing systems, functions, or operating models across various teams and diverse stakeholders.

• Experience collaborating across clinical operations, product development, data analytics, and emerging technologies, including AI-driven workflows or clinical decision support.

• Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior leaders on matters concerning program integrity, risk, and strategic direction.

• Skill in translating abstract, multi-year strategies into actionable near-term priorities, governance frameworks, staffing strategies, and operational routines.

• Comfort in navigating a highly matrixed environment and partnering across clinical, operational, product, legal, compliance, and technical teams.

• A leadership approach that merges clinical rigor, systems thinking, sound judgment, and a strong focus on execution.
