Senior Director, Clinical Development – Antibacterials, Antifungals, CMV & Covid 19

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Designing clinical trials (operational plans, layout) in alignment with clinical development strategies for investigational or marketed drugs targeting infectious diseases.

• Overseeing and managing the execution of current or new clinical trials for investigational or marketed infectious disease medications.

• Evaluating and consolidating clinical findings from research studies to inform decisions about safety and efficacy, as well as for new drug applications, clinical study reports, or publications.

• Engaging in both internal and collaborative internal/external research project teams related to the development of investigational medications and further examination of marketed drugs.

• Crafting clinical development strategies for investigational or marketed drugs addressing infectious diseases.

• Presenting study results and program strategic plans to internal governance committees for approval and crucial program milestones.

• Sustaining a robust scientific knowledge base by:

• Keeping abreast of scientific advancements in the area of expertise, including new research findings and methodologies.

• Building relationships with leading clinical investigators in their specific field of interest, especially those who are scientifically and operationally adept and can contribute to the development of the company’s investigational and marketed medications.

• Participating in relevant scientific meetings to uphold their competency and remain informed about research activities in their area of responsibility.

⛳️ Requirements

• M.D. or M.D./Ph.D., ideally with proven expertise in infectious diseases.

• Eligibility for medical licensure and board certification is preferred.

• At least 5 years of industry experience in clinical research and drug development.

• Proven track record in supervising clinical studies and protocols effectively.

• Documented history of scientific scholarship and accomplishments.

• Background in clinical medicine.

• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Strong interpersonal abilities, along with the capacity to work within a team environment and demonstrate leadership qualities.
