This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Oversee intricate digital infrastructure projects from initial due diligence and site selection to design, construction, and commissioning phases.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams encompassing civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, telecommunications, environmental, permitting, and security professionals.
• Act as the primary client-facing leader to ensure project success, engage stakeholders, and foster strategic account growth.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and associated risks.
• Provide guidance on technical design decisions for mission-critical facilities and communication infrastructure.
• Assist with cable landing stations, fiber networks, carrier-neutral facilities, data centers, and related infrastructure initiatives.
• Facilitate design reviews, workshops, and meetings with executive-level stakeholders.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with project delivery.
• Offer technical leadership throughout permitting, utility coordination, and environmental review processes.
• Support construction administration, commissioning, and operational readiness evaluations.
• Develop and sustain relationships with key clients and industry partners.
• Mentor and cultivate technical staff while aiding in the expansion of AECOM's Digital Infrastructure practice.
• Contribute to strategic pursuits, proposals, and business development efforts.
• Travel domestically and internationally as necessary for client meetings, site assessments, workshops, milestones, and construction activities.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Telecommunications, Architecture, Information Technology, or a related field, along with 8 years of relevant experience, or a proven equivalency of experience and/or education.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience managing complex infrastructure, telecommunications, mission-critical, utility, or data center projects.
• Proven experience in leading multidisciplinary project teams and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
• Demonstrated success in managing project budgets, schedules, and client relationships.
• A Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent professional credential is preferred.
• Experience in delivering data centers, telecommunications facilities, broadband networks, fiber infrastructure, utility infrastructure, mission-critical facilities, or related large-scale infrastructure programs.
• Experience supporting hyperscale, telecommunications, technology, utility, or infrastructure clients.
• In-depth knowledge of submarine cable systems, cable landing stations, dark fiber networks, carrier-neutral facilities, or long-haul communications infrastructure.
• Experience with international projects and geographically dispersed teams.
• Familiarity with permitting, environmental compliance, utility coordination, and regulatory processes.
• Proficient in using BIM/Revit, Civil 3D, Bluebeam, GIS, or other relevant design and collaboration platforms.
• Strong background in business development, proposal management, and client engagement.
• Proven capacity to mentor staff and lead high-performing teams.
