Senior DevSecOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Design and implement security measures throughout CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and software development processes.

• Integrate security testing tools, such as SAST, DAST, dependency scanning, and vulnerability management solutions.

• Perform threat modeling and risk assessments for applications, infrastructure, and platform services.

• Establish and uphold security controls for cloud environments, infrastructure-as-code, and containerized workloads.

• Create automated security and compliance checks to support regulatory and internal security standards.

• Collaborate with Engineering, Infrastructure, and Security teams to adopt secure development practices.

• Assess, implement, and enhance security tools that focus on application and infrastructure security.

• Guide engineers on secure development practices and DevSecOps methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in DevSecOps, Security Engineering, DevOps, or similar engineering roles.

• Proven experience in implementing security controls within CI/CD pipelines and software development processes.

• Familiarity with AWS or Azure in a production setting.

• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

• Proficiency in scripting or automating workflows using Python, Bash, Terraform, or comparable technologies.

• Experience with vulnerability management tools like Snyk, Wiz, GitHub Advanced Security, or similar platforms (Preferred).

• Knowledge of SIEM, security monitoring, or threat detection platforms (Preferred).

• Experience in implementing infrastructure-as-code security controls (Preferred).

• Understanding of compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS (Preferred).

• Experience in conducting threat modeling and security architecture reviews (Preferred).

• Background in mentoring engineers or leading security initiatives across various teams (Preferred).

• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT) in engineering workflows (Preferred).
