Senior DevSecOps Cyber Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist our DOD/AF client by providing cloud-native solutions that align with the client's Zero Trust goals.

• Join an agile development team focused on creating DevSecOps and Cyber solutions for the client’s enterprise development initiatives.

• Tasked with researching, designing, developing, testing, and supporting new systems, applications, and solutions for enterprise-wide cyber systems and networks using the Platform One ecosystem.

• Utilize computer science and various cyber-physical engineering principles to design, develop, integrate, and support innovative solutions or products that identify, exploit, safeguard against, or mitigate cybersecurity vulnerabilities within the Platform One ecosystem and the broader Department of the Air Force.

• Incorporate new architectural components into existing infrastructures, design cybersecurity architectural artifacts, provide architectural assessments of cybersecurity features, connect current systems to future requirements and trends, offer engineering recommendations, and address integration and testing challenges.

• Develop and oversee Keycloak Identity Management solutions for Platform One.

• Maintain and improve custom Keycloak realms, themes, and identity flows (OIDC, OAuth2, SAML).

• Aid ICAM initiatives, including the transition from Keycloak to Okta.

• Design and implement identity-focused Kubernetes-native solutions.

• Establish and sustain CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and secure production deployments.

• Ensure adherence to DoD and DAF directives (e.g., STIGs, RMF, ATO).

• Provide operational support, including incident response and tiered ticket troubleshooting.

• Assist with RBAC/ABAC implementation and ICAM Federation compliance requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7+ years of Development & DevSecOps experience with a Bachelor’s degree or additional relevant experience.

• US Citizenship and eligibility to obtain a US Secret Clearance.

• 2+ years of experience with Keycloak, including realm configuration, protocol integrations (OIDC/SAML), and custom theming.

• 3–5 years of Java development experience.

• 2–5 years of experience with scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or similar languages.

• 3–5 years of experience in designing and deploying Kubernetes-based solutions.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and secure DevSecOps practices.

• Strong understanding of DoD compliance requirements, such as ATO, STIGs, and FedRAMP.
