Senior DevOps Engineer, Developer Productivity

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Maintain the health of the platform and influence the company’s approach to software development using AI.

• Recognize the impact of AI on software creation and transform effective methods into standardized practices and tools.

• Assist in defining AI applications within engineering and create shared tools, agent workflows, and automation.

• Manage daily infrastructure and platform challenges, allowing product engineers to concentrate on their tasks.

• Begin by integrating with one product team and gradually broaden your involvement across multiple teams.

• Take ownership of infrastructure as code, CI/CD systems, mobile release automation, data pipelines, and monitoring.

• Enhance engineering practices through thorough documentation, demonstrations, and self-service tools.

• Work collaboratively with engineers from all teams and guide the direction of engineering practices.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or a similar domain.

• Comfortable working with a variety of codebases, including those that may be unfamiliar.

• A genuine enthusiasm for AI and its implications for the future of software development.

• Strong opinions on the application of AI to real-world systems.

• Proven experience in developing tools that are utilized by fellow engineers.

• Capability to identify areas for improvement and independently drive projects to completion.

• Proficiency with GitHub Actions and Fastlane.

• Experience with Heroku and AWS.

• Familiarity with PostgreSQL, Snowflake, and DBT.

• Knowledge of Ruby on Rails and Node.js backends.

• Understanding of native iOS and Android, Flutter, and React Native/Expo.

• Bonus: experience with automated mobile application release processes.

• Bonus: experience with data pipelines.

• Bonus: experience in maintaining and optimizing production databases.

• Bonus: experience with incident response and disaster recovery.

• Bonus: interest in mental health, brain training, and meditation.
