This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

• Lead the design and enhancement of automation frameworks as well as CI/CD pipelines.
• Architect and manage intricate cloud environments, concentrating on performance, security, and scalability.
• Address complex system performance challenges, utilizing advanced analytical skills for reliability and efficiency.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
• Extensive experience in DevOps, showcasing proficient coding skills in Python.
• Significant years of experience delivering systems to production, with a focus on Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Proven experience in writing and publishing reusable, tested modules or libraries for use by other teams and team members.
• At least four years of experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery tools (e.g., Azure DevOps Services, GitHub Actions, etc.), including the ability to coach other engineers.
• Demonstrated experience in integrating security at the design phase and regularly assessing the effectiveness of security measures.
• Experience conducting code reviews, managing pull requests, and adhering to source control standards such as Git Flow or Trunk-Based Development.
• Proven experience in designing and delivering two or more infrastructure systems (e.g., Azure PaaS, Azure IaaS, Windows or Linux servers, SAN, Exchange, IIS, Active Directory, Azure AD, etc.) with automation and central configuration management.
• Familiarity with multiple database technologies, including platforms, authentication, and connectivity, with the ability to write complex SQL queries.
• In-depth expertise in automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef), cloud platforms (AWS), and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Advanced knowledge in monitoring, logging (Prometheus, ELK), source control (Git), networking, security, and database management.
• Proven leadership skills, capable of mentoring others, influencing cross-functional teams, and leading by example in a collaborative environment.
• Strong collaborative abilities, enabling effective work with cross-functional teams to promote teamwork and cooperation.
• Exceptional English communication skills for interacting with team members, stakeholders, and customers, ensuring clear and effective information exchange.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a detail-oriented approach to efficiently identify and resolve system issues.
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with the capability to work independently and under pressure, effectively managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Experience in conveying technical concepts in front of technically proficient audiences.
• Proficient in systematic debugging to diagnose cross-service issues; capable of automating end pipelines sometimes with assistance from more senior engineers.
• Experienced in Test Driven Development concepts, methods, and tools, with demonstrated experience in unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills for effective interactions.
• Availability for on-call duties to address pending issues or problems arising during non-business hours and provide support as needed.
