This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create, develop, and manage Kubernetes-based ephemeral environments that facilitate efficient software development, testing, and validation for engineers.
• Enhance the reliability, scalability, performance, and user-friendliness of the Ephemeral Infrastructure platform through automation and improvements.
• Collaborate with product engineering, platform, security, and reliability teams to incorporate infrastructure capabilities and optimize developer workflows.
• Develop infrastructure automation, tools, and self-service functionalities that minimize operational toil and expedite software delivery.
• Improve observability, incident management, and operational practices to boost platform health and engineer productivity.
• Participate in shaping the long-term architecture and technical strategy of Upstart’s developer platform and cloud infrastructure ecosystem.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience) along with 4+ years of software engineering experience.
• Over 4 years of experience in designing, deploying, and managing production Kubernetes environments.
• Proficient in building and managing cloud infrastructure on AWS, utilizing services such as EKS, EC2, IAM, and various networking components.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes operators, controllers, and cloud-native platform architecture.
• Experience in developing software and automation with Go or a similar programming language.
• Proven track record of implementing infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, and automated operational workflows in production settings.
