Senior DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the complete developer experience: including deployments, staging, development environments, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Identify challenges, resolve them, and ensure that the solutions are sustainable.

• Act as a force multiplier for the engineering team.

• Oversee, enhance, and occasionally reconstruct our CI/CD pipelines.

• Collaborate with the current DevOps engineer on the overarching infrastructure aspects: cluster management, observability, secrets management, networking, and cost analysis.

• Develop and maintain templates and tools for launching new services and development environments.

• Suggest and implement improvements in efficiency where possible — including right-sizing, autoscaling, scheduling, and GPU utilization.

• Write actual code when necessary.

• Pay attention to details: ensure clear runbooks, sensible defaults, informative error messages, and safe deployment processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering at organizations where you genuinely owned the developer experience, rather than just maintaining operations.

• Proficient coding abilities. You produce production-quality code in Python (or comparable languages), not merely shell scripts and YAML.

• Extensive experience with Kubernetes and Docker.

• Practical experience with cloud platforms (AWS or GCP).

• Strong CI/CD expertise. Experience with TeamCity is advantageous, but the key requirement is having managed a pipeline from start to finish, ensuring it is fast, reliable, and easy to comprehend.

• You think in terms of enhancing developer experience.

• Possess product instincts. You are comfortable questioning “what does this service actually do” and utilizing the insights to inform infrastructure decisions.

• Proficient in English (B2+ level).
