This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Ensure the reliability, performance, and security of our AWS production environment throughout its lifecycle.
• Monitor essential services, address incidents promptly, and uphold high availability.
• Carefully optimize AWS costs during the transition phase.
• Oversee daily operations across GCP services, including monitoring, security enhancement, and observability.
• Maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines to facilitate dependable and efficient deployments.
• Manage Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) with an emphasis on best practices, reviews, and ongoing improvement.
• Provide support for deployments and data migrations when necessary.
• Advocate and exemplify best practices in IaC, GitOps, observability, and security.
• Clearly document processes and assist teammates in comprehending and utilizing shared tools.
• Contribute to fostering a culture of operational excellence, asynchronous collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Over 5 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Cloud Engineering.
• Strong proficiency in AWS (including EC2, RDS, VPC, IAM, S3, CloudWatch, and associated services).
• Considerable hands-on experience with GCP (such as Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud SQL, IAM, VPC, Cloud Logging).
• Expertise in Terraform, including modules, state management, and best practices.
• Extensive production experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Deep understanding of cloud networking, security, and Identity and Access Management (IAM).
• Familiarity with at least one CI/CD platform (like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or similar).
• Proficient in scripting with Bash, Python, or Go.
• Exceptional written communication skills and the ability to excel in a fully remote, asynchronous environment.
