This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• We are in search of a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, automate, and oversee the essential cloud infrastructure that supports our marketplace.
• As a vital member of our DevOps team, you will spearhead our Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) strategy, create tools to streamline our deployment processes, and incorporate automated testing into our delivery pipelines.
• This role is collaborative and cross-functional, necessitating close cooperation with development, security, and QA teams. The ideal candidate is a proactive engineer with a robust foundation in cloud platforms, CI/CD automation, containerization, and security best practices, committed to delivering reliable services to 4 million members.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Extensive hands-on experience in designing, constructing, and optimizing cloud architecture, with a strong preference for Azure.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Demonstrated expertise in provisioning cloud resources using Terraform, including the development of reusable modules and facilitating automated deployments.
• CI/CD & Automation: Experience in designing and maintaining deployment pipelines utilizing GitHub Actions, GitLab, or Azure DevOps. We specifically use Azure DevOps.
• Proficient in scripting with Bash to automate operational workflows.
• Containers & Orchestration: Solid hands-on experience in containerizing applications using Docker.
• Cloud Networking: Profound understanding of networking concepts, including VNets, Subnets, Network Security Groups (NSGs), Private Networking, Routing, and DNS.
• Web Application Security: Practical experience in implementing and managing Web Application Firewall (WAF) rules and policies to secure cloud-facing applications.
• Collaborative Problem Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities in distributed, microservices environments, with a proven history of collaboration across Dev, Security, and QA teams in an Agile ecosystem.
• Nice to have:
• Experience in managing container orchestration using Kubernetes.
• Working knowledge of Linux administration and OS-level troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with .NET microservice architectures, including the building, deploying, and optimizing of their underlying infrastructure using Terraform.
