Senior DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malta.

📋 Description

• Design and uphold dependable cloud infrastructure utilizing AWS and Cloudflare.

• Develop CI/CD pipelines to facilitate safe, zero-downtime deployments in production.

• Enhance monitoring and alerting systems to accelerate incident response and recovery.

• Oversee all environments through modular, version-controlled Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).

• Lead initiatives for cost optimization, security strengthening, and performance enhancement.

• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure technology aligns with business objectives.

• Offer technical guidance and play a key role in significant architectural decisions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of practical experience in building and managing production AWS infrastructure.

• AWS Professional certification (Architect or DevOps) or equivalent practical knowledge.

• Experience in constructing highly available and fault-tolerant systems at scale.

• Strong skills in Linux systems administration and advanced Bash scripting.

• In-depth understanding of the AWS Well-Architected Framework and associated best practices.

• Demonstrated experience with Terraform modules, state management, and CI workflows.

• Familiarity with observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and Loki.

• Proficiency in Python or Node.js, along with the capability to optimize Nginx performance.

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities with an emphasis on root-cause analysis.

• Practical experience managing containerized workloads on AWS ECS and Docker.
