Senior DevOps

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• **Responsibilities:**

• Maintain and provide support for a Kubernetes-based hosting platform and AWS infrastructure for Drupal and Laravel applications.

• Migrate, configure, and enhance client applications within Kubernetes environments.

• Monitor the health of the platform and address outages, incidents, and security events with a composed and systematic approach.

• Execute deployments and go-live activities while enhancing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

• Manage identity and access across Google Workspace, Atlassian, hosting platforms, and version control systems.

• Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding, including device management and access provisioning.

• Contribute to ISO 27001 and SOC 2 compliance by upholding security controls, documentation, and audit readiness.

• Build, maintain, and enhance monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to proactively identify issues.

• Oversee DNS, domain records, and SSL/TLS certificate lifecycles for both client and internal environments.

• Conduct backup validation, disaster recovery testing, and recovery drills to ensure business continuity.

• Aid in managing cloud infrastructure costs, SaaS subscriptions, vendor relationships, and renewals.

• Propel automation initiatives by replacing manual operational tasks with scripted workflows and utilizing AI where suitable.

• Collaborate with developers and platform engineers to continuously enhance infrastructure reliability, security, and deployment processes.

• Remain updated with DevOps best practices, cloud technologies, automation tools, and emerging industry trends.

⛳️ Requirements

• **Qualifications:**

• Demonstrated experience as a Senior DevOps Engineer, Platform Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), or a similar role.

• Proficient in Linux systems administration with experience in scripting and automation using Bash, Python, or similar languages.

• Practical experience with Kubernetes, containerized workloads, Docker, and AWS cloud infrastructure.

• Experience in migrating and configuring applications across Kubernetes environments.

• Strong comprehension of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation (Bitbucket Pipelines or similar).

• Familiarity with workflow automation platforms such as n8n or equivalent automation tools.

• Exceptional troubleshooting and incident response skills in production environments.

• Solid understanding of infrastructure security, identity and access management, and least-privilege principles.

• Exposure to compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001 and/or SOC 2.

• Experience working within governed and access-controlled environments.

• Capability to work independently and confidently manage complex infrastructure with minimal supervision.

• Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.

• Proven experience utilizing automation and AI to enhance DevOps workflows and operational efficiency.

• **Highly Regarded:**

• Personal projects, home labs, or side projects showcasing a passion for automation and infrastructure.

• Practical application of AI tools in DevOps or platform engineering workflows.

• Experience hosting Drupal and/or Laravel applications.

• Familiarity with managed Kubernetes platforms.

• Knowledge of OpsGenie, JAMF, Atlassian Administration, and Google Workspace Administration.

• Experience managing DNS, SSL/TLS certificates, and domain lifecycle processes.

• Proven success in automating repetitive operational tasks.

• Experience contributing to ISO 27001 or SOC 2 audits and certification processes.
