This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Oversee the execution of a program focused on affordable housing projects from pre-contract initiation to final completion.
• Manage intricate and large-scale development initiatives during the design, procurement, and construction stages.
• Foster and sustain relationships with local authorities, developers, landowners, consultants, contractors, and other key stakeholders.
• Assist in identifying, evaluating, and acquiring new business opportunities and development sites.
• Lead the submission of planning applications and negotiations related to Section 106 agreements.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and support to Development Managers and Project Officers.
• Oversee budgets, forecasts, cash flows, and financial performance across the development portfolio.
• Ensure precise reporting, compliance, and effective management of program data.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure a smooth transition of completed homes for sale or rental.
• Act in place of the Head of Development as needed and offer leadership during peak periods of demand.
• Extensive experience in managing housing development projects from acquisition to completion.
• Strong understanding of affordable housing delivery, planning procedures, Homes England regulations, and construction methodologies.
• Exceptional project management and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Proven experience in leading and nurturing high-performing teams.
• Strong commercial insight and financial management skills.
• Outstanding communication and presentation capabilities, with the ability to effectively engage at all organizational levels.
• Capacity to address complex challenges, drive transformation, and enhance processes and outcomes continuously.
• Collaborative mindset with the confidence to make decisions and take accountability for results.
• Successful completion of a Disclosure and Barring Service Check, if necessary.
• Positive references required.
• Must possess a valid Right to Work document.
• Specific qualifications, skills, knowledge, and behaviors may be required to meet the Competence and Conduct Standard for Social Housing.
• £4,385.00 car allowance annually.
