Senior Developer, Terraform/GCP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with software architects and development teams to determine infrastructure needs and design holistic platform solutions.

• Direct the design, execution, and enhancement of CI/CD pipelines utilizing Bitbucket to optimize software development, testing, and deployment workflows.

• Design and oversee Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation, facilitating scalable and repeatable AWS infrastructure management.

• Conduct Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to assess new tools, technologies, and methodologies, evaluating their potential influence on the platform and operational efficiency.

• Monitor and improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of systems, ensuring high availability in both production and development settings.

• Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to infrastructure, deployments, and applications, implementing robust solutions to enhance system stability.

• Integrate security best practices into the architecture and deployment workflows, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations.

• Mentor team members on advanced DevOps methodologies and contribute to fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

• Interact directly with clients to grasp their requirements, prioritize and plan solutions, and manage expectations regarding project timelines and deliverables.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Significant experience as a DevOps Engineer specializing in platform architecture and developing scalable infrastructure solutions.

• Proven track record in leading and managing a team, demonstrating strong leadership abilities and the capacity to motivate and develop team members.

• Expertise in constructing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket, with a focus on automation and efficiency.

• Strong scripting and automation capabilities (Python, Bash, or similar), with the ability to devise scalable solutions and streamline operations.

• Practical experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), including production-grade deployments.

• Extensive knowledge of AWS, particularly in infrastructure provisioning and management.

• Solid understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and experience with relevant tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).

• Experience in conducting PoCs and evaluating new tools and technologies to improve infrastructure and operations.

• A security-focused mindset with a proven history of implementing best practices for securing cloud-based and on-premise environments.

• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly, collaborate effectively across teams, and engage with clients to manage project scopes and expectations.
