Senior Developer – PowerBuilder

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Responsible for developing implementations and resolving bugs;

• Collaborate with both technical and functional teams to provide effective and innovative solutions;

• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level developers, sharing expertise and best practices;

• Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to quality standards, while collaborating on projects to develop successful solutions;

• Organize requirement-gathering meetings with users;

• Define functional and technical specifications;

• Capable of proposing architectural designs for system solutions;

• Create relational data models;

• Implement both functional and non-functional requirements;

• Oversee the deployment of systems;

• Manage corrective and evolutionary support tickets;

• Provide technical assistance to fellow analysts;

• Promote teamwork and lead small groups;

• Utilize Agile and Waterfall methodologies;

• Manage small-scale projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in PL/SQL, PowerBuilder (preferably version 2012 or later), and XML;

• Experience with databases such as Oracle 12c or later (core) and SQL Server;

• Familiarity with environments like MS Visual Studio, TFS (Team Foundation Server), and Azure;

• Knowledge of tools including PowerDesigner (data modeling), SQL Developer, MS Project, and InfoMaker;

• Skilled in integration methods such as WebServices (PowerBuilder / VB .NET - hosted on IIS), APIs, text files, XML, XLS, DBLinks, and direct database connections;

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Analysis and Development or related fields.

• Differentiating skills include:

• Experience with programming languages like React Native;

• Background in native Android development using Kotlin or Java.
