Senior Developer – Optimizely Commerce Connect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Serve as a knowledgeable resource for the team on best practices in B2C commerce.

• Provide application ownership for the Optimizely Commerce Connect platform, covering administration, configuration, monitoring, maintenance, and development.

• Create integrations that are relevant to the Optimizely Commerce Connect environment.

• Support and assist with system upgrades, including both technical and functional testing.

• Collaborate with fellow team members to guide overarching architectural decisions regarding Optimizely Commerce Connect.

• Deeply understand stakeholder requirements and manage all needs effectively to add value for each stakeholder.

• Coordinate and handle support and bug escalations to external vendors and support teams.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation covering detailed system solutions, troubleshooting guides, best practices, and relevant business process mappings.

• Collaborate closely with remote development teams to ensure that the software aligns with business and technical requirements while being scalable, maintainable, and secure.

• Accountable for troubleshooting and resolving intricate technical issues.

• Ensure that web applications are developed to meet the highest quality and performance standards.

• Write code that is scalable, efficient, and high-performing.

• Provide support and assist with both technical and functional testing.

• Foster relationships with internal IT and business teams as well as external vendors to drive value-added solutions.

• Perform additional duties as required or assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Optimizely Commerce Expertise: 2–5 years of practical experience with the Optimizely Digital Experience Platform (DXP), specifically Commerce Connect (B2C), focusing on architecture, customization, and integration.

• Full-Stack Development: 3–5 years of experience with C#, ASP.NET MVC/Web API, SQL Server, HTML5, CSS3, and contemporary JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue.js).

• Cloud Proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft Azure services (App Services, Azure Functions, Azure DevOps, etc.) and cloud-native development practices.

• Software Engineering Principles: Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP), SOLID principles, design patterns, and agile software development methodologies.

• Integration Experience: Demonstrated capability to design and implement integrations with third-party systems (e.g., CRMs, ERPs, payment gateways, analytics platforms).

• Performance & Scalability: Experience in developing scalable, high-performance web applications with an emphasis on security, maintainability, and user experience.

• DevOps & CI/CD: Exposure to DevOps practices, including automated testing, continuous integration, and deployment pipelines.

• Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and work effectively in remote, cross-functional teams.

• Problem Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities, combined with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
