Network Systems Programmer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Deliver 24/7/365 remote support services and provide on-site responses as necessary.

• Employ IBM’s SMP/E software products installation and maintenance utility process.

• Use IBM’s Job Control Language (JCL) and utility programs (such as IEBGENER) to manage z/OS software products.

• Independently identify and resolve technical issues through effective troubleshooting.

• Create and execute technical documentation and specifications.

• Engage in Agile project management and contribute to a DevSecOps environment as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Established experience as a System Programmer, overseeing, maintaining, and configuring Virtual Telecommunications Access Method (VTAM).

• Proven experience in managing, maintaining, and configuring TCP/IP as a System Programmer.

• Familiarity with z/OS Systems (specifically z/OS 2.4).

• Proficient in SSH, TLS, SFTP, and FTP network communication protocols.

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems (preferred) or a related discipline.

• Exceptional analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
