Senior Developer, Java

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and create scalable and resilient backend solutions utilizing Java;

• Maintain code quality with an emphasis on performance and maintainability;

• Advocate for and facilitate the adoption of software engineering best practices, including TDD, BDD, DDD, and Clean Code;

• Conduct code reviews, optimize code, engage in pair programming, and provide mentorship to team members;

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to convert complex rules into effective implementations;

• Encourage knowledge sharing and offer support to development teams;

• Lead and set technical standards for gathering requirements from clients;

• Assume technical ownership of backend components in projects and products;

• Ensure proper technical documentation for projects and maintain application security;

• Independently suggest solutions, contributing to decision-making at various leadership levels;

• Facilitate consensus on highly complex technical decisions, fostering collaboration and alignment among development teams;

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in software development;

• Proficient in programming languages, particularly Java 8+;

• Experience in creating software components for development platforms;

• Advanced expertise in the Spring Boot framework;

• Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes, Jenkins/GitLab CI, and AWS Cloud;

• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB and Redis;

• Advanced understanding of messaging systems like Kafka and RabbitMQ;

• Knowledge of design patterns and microservices architecture;

• Familiarity with agile methodologies and practices;

• Bachelor's degree completed or in progress, ideally in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Analysis, or related fields;
