This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Serve as a representative for Nylas at conferences, meetups, webinars, podcasts, and various industry events.
• Cultivate relationships with developers, partners, customers, and influencers throughout the ecosystem.
• Engage genuinely within developer communities such as Reddit, Hacker News, Dev.to, Discord, GitHub, X/Twitter, Stack Overflow, and emerging platforms.
• Function as a public-facing technical ambassador for Nylas, enhancing our visibility within the developer community.
• Identify opportunities for Nylas to engage in pertinent industry discussions and trends.
• Produce high-quality technical content, including blog posts, tutorials, videos, demos, presentations, sample applications, and code walkthroughs.
• Keep an eye on industry trends and discussions to uncover opportunities for Nylas to share valuable insights.
• Develop thought leadership in areas such as APIs, AI agents, communications infrastructure, developer productivity, integrations, and emerging technologies.
• Advocate for an exceptional developer experience throughout the stages of onboarding, implementation, and long-term adoption.
• Collect feedback from customers, prospects, community members, and partners, converting it into actionable recommendations.
• Promote enhancements to APIs, SDKs, tooling, onboarding processes, and overall developer usability.
• Create tutorials, quick starts, guides, workshops, and sample applications that enable developers to quickly derive value from Nylas.
• Develop and maintain code samples, demos, and integrations in JavaScript, Python, and Go.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Developer Relations, Developer Advocacy, Solutions Engineering, Technical Marketing, or a comparable developer-facing role.
• Strong software development expertise and proficiency in JavaScript, Python, and Go.
• Comprehensive understanding of APIs, OAuth, webhooks, authentication, and contemporary integration patterns.
• Outstanding written communication abilities with experience in crafting content targeted at technical audiences.
• Experience with public speaking at conferences, meetups, webinars, workshops, podcasts, or through online content.
• Keen instincts for developer communities, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
• Ability to identify compelling narratives and transform technical concepts into captivating content.
• Proven experience collaborating with engineering, product, marketing, and customer-facing teams.
• Comfort in working independently and establishing programs, processes, and relationships from scratch.
• Familiarity with how developers discover, assess, and adopt new technologies.
• Willingness to travel for conferences, customer events, and industry engagements.
