This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• The Senior Design Manager (SDM) is accountable for overseeing interior planning, design development, client engagement, and coordination throughout all phases of projects.
• Ensure design solutions are in line with Raymond James standards, project goals, and client needs, while closely collaborating with Project Management and Workplace Strategy teams.
• Deliver detailed Design Development (DD) packages for each project, which include: Approved space plans, Equipment and furniture layouts, Power and data configurations, Reflected ceiling plans, Finish palettes, images, and specifications, Furniture details and selections, 3D model perspectives, conceptual renderings, and visualization materials.
• Keep updated on new AI-enabled design, visualization, documentation, and workflow tools relevant to workplace planning and interior design.
• Assess and integrate suitable AI technologies to enhance design efficiency, visualization quality, coordination accuracy, and client communication, while ensuring alignment with Raymond James standards.
• Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to responsibly adopt AI tools, fostering the continuous enhancement of design processes and deliverables.
• Manage client expectations across all phases by facilitating reviews, collecting feedback, and securing necessary approvals.
• Present design concepts and updates in formats that aid strategic decision-making.
• Work closely with Project Management to synchronize design milestones with overall project schedules, budgets, and delivery timelines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Project Management, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of direct experience in workplace, commercial interior, or architectural design with a proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Highly self-driven and independent, with the capability to proactively advance projects, make informed decisions, and prioritize tasks with minimal oversight.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective engagement and collaboration with internal stakeholders, external consultants, vendors, contractors, and branch clients.
• Strong team coordination and collaboration abilities, supporting Design Managers, Project Managers, and cross-functional team members to achieve project objectives, schedules, and deliverables.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while upholding accuracy, quality, and attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the capability to identify project challenges early and apply effective solutions.
• Client-focused approach, committed to delivering a positive experience while balancing business, budget, and design objectives.
• Proficient in coordinating project documentation, conducting design reviews, managing vendor communication, and overseeing project execution from concept to completion.
• Previous experience in a financial services firm or similar corporate environment is highly preferred.
