Senior Design Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design tailored EBOS solutions for utility-scale solar projects, ensuring manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to customer specifications.

• Create and update internal standard work documentation.

• Engineer and design PV harness systems, DC collection systems, MV cable layouts, and related EBOS components.

• Analyze construction plan sets, site layouts, and single-line diagrams to produce precise and scalable design solutions.

• Ensure all designs meet NEC standards and conform to relevant IEC, IEEE, and NETA standards wherever necessary.

• Conduct technical calculations, including voltage drop, ampacity, short-circuit analysis, and system optimization.

• Assist in proposal development by providing technical insights for quotes and pre-sales engineering initiatives.

• Produce detailed drawings and documentation utilizing AutoCAD and other engineering tools.

• Maintain proper version control and accuracy of documentation within engineering data management systems.

• Identify design alternatives that enhance performance and reduce costs while ensuring compliance and reliability.

• Engage in structured design review processes to achieve technical completeness and precision.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related technical field; or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 5 years of experience in PV system design, EBOS engineering, or electrical design for utility-scale projects.

• Comprehensive knowledge of NEC requirements and PV design principles.

• Proven expertise in EBOS components, including PV harnesses, DC feeders, combiner systems, and MV cabling.

• Capability to read and interpret construction plans, single-line diagrams, and intricate electrical schematics.

• Proficient in AutoCAD.

• Experience in conducting engineering calculations (voltage drop, conductor sizing, ampacity, etc.).

• Familiarity with structured engineering documentation and data management systems.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information effectively.
