Senior Deployment Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the installation, commissioning, startup, and validation processes for modular data center deployments in both domestic and international settings.

• Act as the senior technical field resource during deployment execution and ensure operational readiness.

• Independently implement and supervise deployment strategies, commissioning protocols, and infrastructure validation activities.

• Conduct site evaluations and provide technical guidance for field operations, issue resolution, and acceptance of operations.

• Ensure quality in deployment, maintain operational consistency, and comply with Armada's engineering and safety regulations.

• Lead troubleshooting efforts and root cause analysis across electrical, mechanical, controls/BAS, networking, and monitoring systems.

• Analyze and apply electrical schematics, mechanical blueprints, control diagrams, and infrastructure documentation to address complex operational challenges.

• Make independent technical decisions during commissioning, startup, and live operational scenarios.

• Facilitate the implementation of corrective actions and enhancements to long-term reliability based on field observations.

• Escalate and manage the resolution of critical infrastructure challenges affecting deployment schedules or operational readiness.

• Direct BMS, EPMS, and DCIM integration, validation, and operational readiness testing activities.

• Develop and execute infrastructure validation procedures to ensure systems comply with performance, safety, and operational standards before customer handover.

• Assist in incident response, infrastructure recovery efforts, and initiatives aimed at maintaining operational continuity.

• Provide technical oversight during system startup, validation of monitoring, alarm testing, and infrastructure acceptance procedures.

• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Deployment Leadership, and Customer Operations teams to ensure successful deployment execution.

• Coordinate technical efforts with vendors, subcontractors, and field service partners.

• Offer field-driven operational insights that shape infrastructure design, deployment strategies, and enhancements to product reliability.

• Serve as a trusted technical advisor throughout deployment planning, execution, and operational review processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in mission-critical infrastructure, modular data centers, field engineering, or operations in critical facilities.

• Proven ability to independently manage commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, and deployment tasks within intricate technical environments.

• Extensive technical knowledge across critical infrastructure systems, including:

• Electrical systems

• Mechanical/HVAC systems

• Controls/BAS systems

• Low-voltage systems

• Significant experience leading root cause analysis and resolving technical issues in live operational settings.

• Ability to exercise independent judgment and decision-making during infrastructure deployments and operational situations.

• Strong familiarity with BMS, EPMS, and/or DCIM platforms.

• Proficient in reading, interpreting, and applying electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and control diagrams during field execution and troubleshooting.

• Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination abilities.

• Capable of performing effectively in high-speed, high-accountability deployment environments.
