Senior Demand Planner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the demand signal for various product categories; accountable for the analysis, upkeep, and commitment to an accurate rolling 24-month forecast.

• Sustain the unconstrained demand plan using statistical forecasting techniques and market insights, guiding supply to assist manufacturing partners and internal teams with build priorities.

• Define the characteristics of product groupings (demand segmentation strategy) including seasonal, trend, cyclical, and random patterns.

• Offer analysis and recommendations for optimizing constrained component supply.

• Evaluate, challenge, and uphold justifications for adjustments in forecasts. Proactively communicate forecast changes and trends to supply chain partners.

• Examine global purchasing patterns and allocate finished goods materials to the appropriate global fulfillment centers.

• Strive to minimize excess inventory and manage the disposition of surplus and obsolete stock.

• Provide consistent updates to senior management regarding inventory levels, potential risks to meeting demand, and recommended buffer levels.

• Assess how forecast modifications will impact buffer component levels and inventory costs.

• Determine and report on forecast accuracy Key Performance Indicators.

• Offer leadership and direction to create new tools and processes that will facilitate business scaling.

• Previous experience in Demand Planning within a related field.

• Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Demonstrated capability to become a subject matter expert and leverage that expertise to develop new processes and tools.

• Ability to thrive in a dynamic and results-oriented environment.

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, along with strong computer proficiency.

• Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.

• Prior experience with SAP/IBP modules and/or Oracle is advantageous.
